COD [7DFPS Submission]
A downloadable game for Windows
You are [REDACTED], a retired octopus officer of the Coral Operations Division. Unfortunately, something very valuable has been taken from you. As you gear up to fight the Crustaceans of Doom, you head into the practice range. Grinding through the krillhouse, lobster-by-lobster, you know that nothing will stop you from getting your pet cod back.
This submission is the tutorial / first level to our game, COD! This is our first experience with a 3D Unity project, much less a FPS game, so we hope that you enjoy it! :D We plan to add more levels, functionality, better movement and gameplay as we continue development, and thank you so much for playing this fun little idea we had!
CONTROLS:
- WASD for movement
- Hotkeys: 1 for Revolver, 2 for Shotgun, 3 for LMG, or scroll wheel.

It was a very good game I must say. Since this is your first experience with using Unity 3D I'm going to be a little harsh. Firstly there are a couple of bugs when it comes to reloading. The movement is great but it doesn't have much depth to it, especially thinking about the setting your game is about. I'm not too experienced in the levels for fast paced games but you're levels seem too clear cut, like you had an empty plan and you ran a scissor through it. In Fast paced games the player has to have somewhat complex terrain to test the players adaptivity. Look at some of DOOM Eternal levels and you'll understand me. It was an extremely great game and if you continue working with this great progress I'm sure you'll make a masterpiece!
Damn I can see so many grammatical errors after reading my comment
Thank you for the feedback! I agree, but in our defense, that level was made within the last 3 hours of the game jam and my first time using Unity's terrain creator. :P
Movement isn't fleshed out enough yet for levels to rely on them, which is why they're currently more reliant on the weapons system and reload timing. I want to add at least sliding, better dashing, a grappling hook, and maybe wallrunning.
We barely were able to scrap this game before the deadline (less than 10 minutes before), so we ended up having to ship with some major bugs. Any encouraging messages like yours definetly make us want to continue building up and polishing this idea.
reload animations and music are chef's kiss
Thank you! First time, but I really enjoyed making those reload animations. Hope to improve them in a later patch/update.
